Write a paragraph
1) Education System in the UAE:
The UAE educational system was established
at the beginning of the 1970s. Students study for
a period of 14 years of education.
There are 4 stages of education, 4-5 year olds
attend kindergarten, 6-11 year olds attend
primary schools, the preparatory stage caters for
children aged between 12-14 years, and 15-17
year olds attend secondary schools. All students
study English as a foreign language.
2) What you learnt in your school last week:
We have 7 lessons each day. We learn many
useful things each lesson. For example, I learnt
about circles and triangles in Maths. In Islamic
Studies I learnt how to read the Quran and do
the prayers. I learnt about the nature in the UAE
in Geography. I learnt about the old events that
happened in my country in History. In English I
learnt hoe to make a good English sentence.
3) Your favorite school subject:
We study about 8 subjects at school. They are
Arabic, English, Islamic Studies, Maths, Science,
Geography, History and IT. My favorite subject is
English. I have 6 English lessons a week. I like English
because I learn a lot of information that helps me in
my real life. It helps me to use computer properly and
understand the foreign movies. I’d like to be a
teacher of English in future.
4)Work and Business in the UAE:
As a new-born country, the UAE is a good field for
all types of employment. There are several types as;
agriculture, manufacturing, government, construction,
transport, finance, retail and leisure. Most people like
doctors, teachers and oil workers work for the
government. Many people work in the leisure and retail
industries. A great number of people work in finance,
manufacturing and transport. Many people work in the
construction field. Few number of people work in
agriculture. There are other industries like fishing.
5)Weather in the UAE:
There are 4 seasons in the UAE. They are winter,
spring, summer and autumn. In summer it’s usually hot
and humid while in winter it’s usually cold, foggy and
sometimes rainy. In autumn it’s usually windy and the
tree leaves usually fall down while in spring it’s
usually cool and the trees are green. Spring starts
from March and ends in May. Summer is from June to
August. Autumn begins in September and finishes in
November. Winter is from December to February. I
like spring most because it’s cool and clear.
