In the next 50 year, as the earth’s population expands from 6 billion, humanity will consume more energy than all that it previously used throughout history.
Increased energy use is a primary signal that a country is developing a higher standard of living, yet our almost exclusive reliance on the use of fossil fuels has given rise to a number of ecoproblems. As the world actively seeks alternative sources of energy, the scientists recognize that understanding the different types of energy sources and their use is critical, not only to environmental protection, but to human progress and survival as well.
Energy is the capacity to work. There are many sources of energy under three general categories: renewable, non-renewable and invisible. Some are God’s gifts to us through mother nature – others are created scientifically using our God-given talents.
Lets us look at these different energy forms and sources. Let our resolution be to do all we can to protect and maintain them for generations to come.
SPIRITUAL ENERGY
This energy is the world’s greatest renewable sources. Be it Islam, Yoga or Christianity, Spiritual or Religion Energy it is an invisible force capable of healing and energizing the human soul. It possesses the power to change people’s mind and society and create harmony therein.
LOVE ENERGY
Love is a life force that is largely unseen yet is an unlimited renewable resource. It is the source of our empowerment and with it we create our self-image. It is the source that enables kindness, courage, friendship, compassion, devotion, helpfulness and forgiveness to flow into our action – an energy that really makes life worth living.
GEOTHERMAL ENREGY
The earth’s core is a powerful source of thermal energy. The excessive temperatures of the core which reach up to a staggering 4000 degrees Celsius, heats underground streams and pools of water. The resulting steam can be used to power generators to produce electricity.
BIOENERGY
Bioenergy is contained in "biomass" such as plant and animal waste. Biomass can be replaced fairly quickly without permanently depleting the earth’s natural resources.
WIND POWER
For generation after generation, windmills provided power for milling grain and watering crops in many places around the world. Easily harnessed, wind power is a relatively clean, low-cost source of electrical power and, though an age-old source, is right back in fashion in our eco-conscious world.
FOSSIL FUELS
The three major forms of fossil fuels are: coal, oil and natural gas, which were formed hundreds of millions of years ago in the pre-dinosaur era. The world depends on fossil fuels to run everything from cars to district heating systems.
NUTRITIONAL ENERGY
Nutrition is an essential fuel that drives our bodies. We take energy from the food we eat and our bodies transform it into a form we can use to work and play.
SOLAR ENERGY
The sun is one of the most promising sources of energy for the future. Solar energy is currently used on a small scale for
heating and lighting panels for homes. On a larger scale, it has a tremendous potential to fuel cars, power plants, and even spaceships. Let the sun shine in!
HYDROGEN ENERGY
Hydrogen is the most plentiful element on earth. Once isolated, it burns cleanly, neither producing carbon dioxide nor toxic emissions. When harnessed efficiently, this energy can be used to produce electricity, fuel transportation and provide other energy needs.
NUCLEAR POWER
Nuclear energy comes from radioactive uranium, produces far more tons of power than any other energy source and does not contribute to air pollution. Used properly, it can be the ultimate power source.
HYDRO POWER
Hydro power is energy obtained from the natural of masses of water. Hydroelectric power plants convert the energy contained in flowing water into electricity.
HUMAN ENERGY
It is the human energy, focus and enthusiasm of visionary leaders, staff, partners and customers which have driven our societies forward to become the best. People fuel every facet
Of their societies life.
