Unit: 1 Topic: All About Us Activities: 1&2(PB)
Warming Up:
T. asks Ss. to point at their bodies as she calls parts of the body such as hand,foot,arm,leg and face.
Objectives:
1. To describe oneself.
2. To name parts of the body.
3. To measure and compare body lengths.
4.To use adjectives to describe people.
Key vocabulary:
Arm,face,foot,hand,head,leg,big,long shorter,how,than.
Materials:
PB, HP, Pictures, Measuring tape, Worksheets.
Procedure:
1. T. introduces the new characters of book 5.
2. T. asks two students who have different length of hair to stand in front of the class.
3. Ss. say the differences.
4. T. uses comparative adjectives to describe the two students.
5. Ss. use comparative adjectives to describe their friends.
6. T. traces two hands of two students on the board.
7. T. takes the measurements of the hands to see which is bigger and smaller.
8. Each group is given a measuring tape to take their measurements.
9. Ss. read the Qs. and write the answers.
10. Ss. ask Qs. in pairs.
Evaluation:
* Ss. name parts of the body.
* Ss. use adjectives to describe people.
* Ss. use comparative adjectives ending in –er.
Home Assignment:
Ss. are given worksheets.
