Nowadays we live in the age of technology. Technology plays important roles in developing our life. Computer is considered one example of new technologies. It is used in many fields and for different purposes. In this report, I am going to talk about three main things about computer such as: the definition of computer, advantages and disadvantages of computer.

Definition of Computer:

Computer is "an electronic machine that can store and arrange information, make calculation and control other machinery"(Oxford word power, 2022). So it helps us in doing many things like storing, modifying information and in calculating.

Advantages of computer:

There are many advantages of computer like:
1. Computer saves our time. For example, there are many useful programs in computer such as Excel. This program helps us in doing calculation quickly and without errors.
2. Computer has a great storage, so that people can put a lot of information in very little space.
3. Computer gives us much information. For instance, it has program that called Internet. Internet helps us to find information that we want. Also, it helps us to communicate with other people by sending e mails.

Disadvantages of computer:

Although the computer has many advantages, it can be harmful for many reasons as following:
1. Computer is bad for teenagers. They spend many hours in playing games and chatting instead of studying. In addition, the interaction between the families and their children become smaller and that because the internet.
2. Computer can be damaged because of viruses. There are many types of viruses that are dangerous. They can stop the work of computer, so our work will be lost.
3. Computer is bad for our health. It effects on our eyes. It send rays and they are too harmful.

Conclusion:
In conclusion, computer is a useful machine, but we have to be aware about it because it has many disadvantages. Finally, I advise people specially teenagers to organize their time during using computer to avoid health problems. Moreover, I advise parents to supervise and choose useful websites for their children.
