Alison and Bob Nelson are two brothers. Alison is a scientist. He lives in Switzerland. He works three days a week at the Institute of Molecular Biology in Geneva. He speaks three languages :English, French and German. He is married and has a daughter. He likes skiing in winter and going for walks in summer
Bob is a doctor. He lives in Australia in small town of Alice Springs. He is not an ordinary doctor, he is a flying doctor. Every day, from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. he speaks to people on his radio, then he flies to help them. He works 16 hours a day non-stop but he loves his job. He is not married. He has no free time.

My name is Dorita. I want to improve my English . I think writing letters in English to my friends is a good practice. I have classes in English at La Guardia Community College. I am in class with eight students. They are all from different countries: Japan, Brazil, Switzerland, Poland, and Italy. Our teacher’s name is Isabel. She is very nice and a very good teacher.
I live in an apartment with two American girls, Annie and Marnie Kass. They are sisters . Annie is twenty years old and a photographer. Marnie is eighteen and a student. They are very friendly, but it isn’t easy to understand them. They speak very fast.
New York is very big, very exciting but very expensive. It is very cold now but Central Park is lovely in the snow. I am very happy here.
